Dr. Nathan Brandon

Dr. Brandon’s training in critical care medicine and anesthesiology, coupled with his strong desire to to be a clinical problem-solver, led him to his current specialty of pain medicine.

Dr. Brandon also serves as adjunct faculty for the Medical College of Georgia, as a clinical professor in the departments of anesthesiology and neurology.


Bachelor of science at the University of Georgia, masters degree in Medical Science at Emory University School of Medicine. This was a 3 year program that led to training in anesthesia, critical care, and final focus in thoracic surgery as a physician assistant.

Medical College of Georgia. Graduated with honors and AOA (Alpha Omega Alpha) the medical honor society. UGA graduated in 1984, Emory graduated in 1987, MCG graduated in 1991.

University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Department of Anesthesiology (Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine) – finished Internship in 1992; finished residency in 1995. Board-certified in Anesthesiology.


Dr. Brandon began his career in 1995 at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, Georgia where he practiced for three years as a staff anesthesiologist and as director of the pain clinic. In 1998, Dr. Brandon joined one of Atlanta’s premier pain management practices, beginning his full-time dedication to practicing pain medicine. Dr. Brandon had the opportunity to move to Augusta, Georgia in 2001 to direct the pain management clinic at Walton Rehabilitation Hospital. He founded his own pain management practice in 2004 in Evans, Georgia


Practicing Pain Managment Since 1995

Dr. Brandon has treated thousands of patients with all types of chronic pain since he began managing pain in 1995. This includes, but is not limited to, pain related to the back, the neck, and cancer, various types of neuropathies, complex regional pain syndrome (more commonly known as RSD), and chronic pain resulting from work injuries or other trauma. In addition, Dr. Brandon is registering patients for medicinal 5% THC for the list of approved medical diagnoses. Other services include disability evaluations, case review for worker’s comp and the Georgia Composite Medical Board,  and medication-assisted treatment for addiction.
